The OmniChem NaturalSpecialities Business Unit was initiated more than 60 years ago, and is specialized in extraction and purification of botanicals. Today we are one of the leading polyphenol producers in the world.

Since 1947 we have gained a wide and strong expertise in the extraction and purification of botanicals and fermentation derived products.

Our activities our structured around two main pillars:

Custom Extraction: we perform contract extraction and custom development of botanicals and fermentation broths for major players of the industry. This includes process development, joint product developments as well as industrial extraction and purification of ingredients for food, nutraceutical and cosmetics markets.
Our expertise covers products such as  grape seed extracts (OmniVin), cocoa polyphenols (OmniCoa) and phosphatidylserine (Ultra-Serin)

 Gallotannins: we have been producing polyphenols (hydrolysable tannins known as gallotannins) - since 1947 and have therefore a developed a leading and undisputed position on this market.
Gallotannins are used in various markets such as brewery, oenology, food flavours, textile and pharma.

Ajinomoto OmniChem is a Belgian company belonging to the Ajinomoto group - world leader in amino acids. Ajinomoto OmniChem consists of 2 divisions: OmniChem and AminoScience.

OmniChem division is divided into 3 business units: Pharmaceutical Fine Chemicals (PFC's), Tensiofix and NaturalSpecialities.
